ABOUT SORENA
The piano plays an integral role in Sorena's life — she has played for more than 15 years.
Currently, ​​Sorena is looking forward to graduating with her ARCT in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Fall 2025.
​
She has participated in many music festivals, including the Calgary Performing Arts Festival and the Highwood Lions Music Festival among many others, earning provincial recommendations, scholarships, and esteemed performance opportunities.
Recently, she was honoured at the ARMTA (Alberta Registered Music Teacher's Association) Calgary Recitals & Awards 2025 for achieving the highest mark in ARCT History.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, Sorena enjoys teaching in-home piano lessons through Calgary Piano Expressions and accompanying worship services at Advent Lutheran Church.

She currently studies piano and piano pedagogy with Linda Kundert at Mount Royal University and hopes to complete her ARCT in Piano Pedagogy in the near future.

Sorena strongly believes that music is the heart and soul of our lives, and to be able to make music is to be able to bring beauty and feeling to others.
​
Outside of piano playing, teaching, and accompanying, Sorena is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Calgary and plans to graduate in May 2026.
